Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Make all your parcels look fabulous with a stamp from this beautiful Dragon Stamp proof sheet
lmost nothing is better than receiving an interesting looking parcel from a far off land, bearing exotic stamps. Before I was old enough to go traveling myself, I had to be content with daydreams of fantastical places that were made a little bit more real by those strange stamps and their fascinating postmarks. . . .
My grandfather lived in Hong Kong and although by day he worked as a correspondent for a large shipping company, at the weekend and at other times when he could slip away for a few weeks, he traveled Asia's more remote parts, looking for curiosities; shrunken heads, tribal carvings, ritual adornments, jewelry and all manner of other oddments. Often he would send back trinkets from far off places. I always looked forward to his parcels, even the wrapping of which provided me with a delicious armchair exploration all of my own. Weird brown wrapping paper, often wrapped using string, something that no one round our way ever normally used, secured in neat folds and often smelling faintly of camphor (moth balls). The postmarks, stamped carelessly and seemingly randomly over the stamps, the hand written notes left like graffiti all over the package by the various handlers and customs clearance people along the way and then finally the stamps, bright jewels, strange and wonderful and each telling their own story, just waiting to be deciphered like some strange foreign code.
Of course, I always opened the parcel very carefully, making certain that I did not tear the stamps. Then I cut them out and gently laid them in a saucer of lukewarm water to soften their adhesive, so that I could slip them off the parcel wrapping and prepare them for my stamp album. I was not a great collector of stamps (philatelist), but I loved that collection of tiny bright images, each with their own travelers tale, lined up on those jet black pages of the stamp album like miniature paintings hanging on the walls of my own private gallery. . . .
Now you can download and print out some beautiful Dragon Stamps of your own. The download comes in A4 and US Letter size and will give you what looks like an authentic printer's proof sheet of some ancient stamps. All you have to do is cut them out (all very old stamps were unperforated and just cut out) and stick them on your parcel and envelope models. Please note: to get the quality you need, these are big files, so only download once and only the paper size you need and save them on your computer. (Please also note that these are not real stamps, they are for model purposes only). If you like this project, you'll find it goes perfectly with the Dragonmail stickers and Postmark projects.
When downloading this file, please be patient, it is a big file at 1.3Mb and may take a few moments to download

The Dragonry
 |
|

For all those who may think, in their more reckless moments, that it might be easier to steal a golden egg from under the warm belly of a gently sleeping dragon than would be to make one, it might be wise to heed the text of this ancient rhyme...

Here you'll find so much more than dragons; you'll find projects that make it possible to create fantastic stories and games of your own. Every project is totally original and explained with simple illustrated downloads so that you can do the project together or (depending on age) your child can do it on their own, with a little help from you at key stages, and make something that really looks gorgeous.
All the projects are of the highest quality, because quality and attention to detail are very important to children.
So set your imagination alight with our wonderful dragons projects. Follow the story of Kaptin Scarlet, the famous philanthropist, whose 19th Century adventuring to bring back numerous weird and wonderful artifacts was the delight and fascination of civilized Victorian society. His motto, Life is Your Adventure, is as true now as it ever was, and is perfect for kids and dads everywhere, so make it yours and make the most of the time you spend together.
