Cautionary Tales For Children
Wonderful witty poems great for reading to your children. The stories and rhymes will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.
Cardboard Crossbow

It really fires drinking straw darts and is immense fun

cardboard crossbow

You can buy a wooden crossbow just like this for about £25 and wait for it to be sent to you, or download the instructions here and make it in 90 minutes from junk, with wood effect, right away! It's not much of a contest, is it. The superb firing action uses a rubber band and safely fires drinking straws (with flights to make sure they fly straight and true) for loads of harmless fun. The print out comes in two parts so you can make more than one. The instructions and a separate downloadable of the templates and wood effect pattern. The printouts are available in both A4 and US Letter version, just click on the size you want, to download it.

TIP:
Keep leftover straws from fast food restaurants, you never know when they might come in useful and amongst other things, they make great crossbow darts.

The Sign of The Dragonry
For all those who may think, in their more reckless moments, that it might be easier to steal a golden egg from under the warm belly of a gently sleeping dragon than would be to make one, it might be wise to heed the text of this ancient rhyme...

If ye should thieve the Dragon Roe
Here you'll find so much more than dragons; you'll find projects that make it possible to create fantastic stories and games of your own. Every project is totally original and explained with simple illustrated downloads so that you can do the project together or (depending on age) your child can do it on their own, with a little help from you at key stages, and make something that really looks gorgeous. So set your imagination alight with our wonderful dragons projects. Follow the story of Kaptin Scarlet, the famous philanthropist, whose 19th Century adventuring to bring back numerous weird and wonderful artifacts was the delight and fascination of civilized Victorian society.
