Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Make your own gorgeous rosettes, perfect for rewarding or marking any special occasions or achievements

Who doesn’t like winning a rosette? A rosette is something really nice that can really mark a special achievement. Award a rosette to your child as a reward for attaining goals on a star chart, doing really well at school, to mark special anniversaries, or just to tell them you think that they are special. Don’t forget that grown-ups need to be made to feel special too.
. . .
Remember that if you are separated from your child’s mother (or father), your children really need to know that they have your permission to show their love for their other parent. Whatever your feelings are, you must to try and put them to one side and make it clear to your child or children that it’s ok for them to love both of you. One great way to do that is to help them make something little for their mum or dad for their birthday, Fathers Day or Mothers Day. A rosette is an easy thing to make, is fun to do together and costs nothing so it's ideal.
. . .
There are five colours to choose from and a special sheet of discs with different messages for the centre of your rosette. I’m sure you can think of loads of other ideas of things that you would like to say, so either mock some up on your computer or print out the sheet supplied here and draw your message freehand, using the blanks provided.
. . .
To make one rosette, you will need the instruction sheet, the discs sheet and one of the colour rosette patterns.
There are both US Letter and A4 versions of all the sheets, just click on the one you want to download it. Don’t forget to tell us how you got on. We’d love to hear about how these rosettes are being used so that we can design more of them for you.

Rosettes & certificates
 |
|
Every child likes to know that all the effort they put into doing what is expected of them is appreciated and recognised so it should come as no surprise that they enjoy getting certificates. Certificates (and even rosettes) are a simple, but highly effective way of praising good behaviour, or formally marking a special achievement. Of course the rosettes are very easy to make and we supply the beautiful templates and simpe to follow instructions you will need to make them, in one of five colours.
We have also designed some special certificates. These look great, in fact, they wouldn't look out of place on an office wall, and like everything else on dadcando, they're all designed to be original, with a completely professional look and to be easy for you to download and use. Each certificate has a place for the child's name and the achievement to be written in, together with a place for you to sign and date the certificate.
The certificates come in two different sizes, full and half page (although each prints out on a full page of paper).
There are four colours of each certificate so you can select the most appropriate colour or use more than one for different children or for the same child for different achievements.
To make your child’s certificate really special, you could print it out on a special light weight card or thick parchment pattern paper. If you want to really make it perfetc why not run a silver or gold marker round the edge of the paper.
