Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Draw over and colour in incredible looking and fabulously Half human creatures and make your own greetings cards
Three Special Edition Image Plates just recently released from the Barons' Mythological Archives, with interesting notes on each one.
n ancient times strange beasts wondered the earth causing havoc and becoming the subject of enduring myths. I have always been interested in the study of such creatures and I have never got closer to understanding them than when I was able to sketch their various diabolical shapes. For although a camera is good, there is nothing like drawing for giving you an understanding of your subject. There is a great deal to be said for training one’s eye in the art of illustration. ...
In any case in the old days when cameras were bulky a sketch was often the only way to capture the likeness of a fleeting glimpse of a mythical creature. Of course, when one is sketching one can make certain relevant notes against the part of the drawing, such as may act as a prompt later when you are back in the safety of your own laboratory or study, drafting a lecture regarding your encounter. Even the act of sketching itself forces one to look in great detail at what one is drawing, the contemporaneous study of which often reveals features or aspects of the subject that might be missed had one merely taken a photograph. ...
Of course it can’t be denied that there is a great degree of skill required to capture the essence of a scene or creature by pen and ink alone. However, luckily it is a skill that can be learned and even perfected with diligent practice. ...
So, it is with this thought in mind therefore, that I present to you, three simplified drawings taken from the Barons’ Mythological Library. Once you have downloaded the image plate of your choice, you can begin your studies in the art of illustration, by carefully colouring within the image. Note how the outlines are in a pale colour. Often inexperienced artists avoid the use black as an outline, which they find too dramatic and tends to give the picture a coarse and artificial appearance. When you draw, try using grey or other colours for your picture outlines; I’m sure you will be astonished at the improvement this makes to your creations. ...
Once you have drawn in the image, in each case, by following the instructions therein, you will be able to make an elegant greetings card to impress and amaze your friends and family.
